- Connect your computer's network/LAN cable directly to the PC/LAN port of the AXvoice phone adapter. Disconnect any cable connected to WAN/Internet port of the adapter.
- From the phone connected with the adapter dial **** You will hear voice prompt. Dial 73738# and then 1 to confirm. Hang up and turn the adapter off after 20 seconds. Make sure no cable is connected to the WAN port.
- You should have DHCP enabled on your network/LAN card. You can check and enable that by going to Start >> Setting >> Network Connection and then double click "Local Area Network" icon. Click "Properties" and then select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and then click "Properties". Make sure "Obtain an IP address automatically" is enabled.
- Turn the AXvoice adapter on. Go to Start >> Run and type "cmd". Command prompt window will open. In the command prompt window type "ping 192.168.0.1". You should get response like "Reply from 192.168.0.1: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=255". If you get this then you can proceed to Step 5. If you get something like "Reply from 192.168.0.1: Destination host unreachable." try "ping 192.168.1.1" and even if that doesn't work you should stop.
- Now copy and paste " http://192.168.0.1/admin/voice/advanced" into your Internet Browser and click GO. You should be able to see Sipura/Linksys page. Use "http://192.168.1.1/admin/voice/advanced" if you got response from 192.168.1.1.
- Go to "Provisioning" section and set "Profile Rule:" to "http://provision.AXvoice.com/$MA.xml". Also set "Provision Enable" to "Yes". Click "Submit All Changes" at the bottom of the page and wait for the adapter to reload.
- Then configure new AXvoice server parameters under Line1 section as provided in the Account Information email.
- Reconnect cables as they were before re-programming of the adapter. Reset (power cycle) it once and you should now have the dial tone.
